To Ana. Ana is a friend from crew. We were pair partners yesterday at the race and even though we were pair partners in the past, I felt like we really bonded yesterday. Last night, Kirsten and Candy (Ana's roommate) threw her a surprise birthday party in our room. Clare, Cori, Evelyn, Atma, Mariana and I took Ana to the best wings restaurant ever for dinner as a distraction, and then brought her back to the room. Dinner was so much fun! It was the girls night I needed. It was such a great party, but the mess this morning....

Rose and Thorn:
Rose- Everyone met J last night at the surprise party. God love him, at first there were like 25 girls and him. I was nervous it wouldn't go well, but it got better when Ellen, her boyfriend and their roommates came over.
Thorn- No sleep. Got to bed at 3am and woke up at 7am. Our room is disgusting. On a positive note, no crew tomorrow am, so a little more time to recuperate.
