Thank You #19

To Megan. Megan is the crew captain and a good friend. We haven't had many times to talk one on one with each other this year. When I first met Megan, it was 5:30am on the crew bus my first day with the team. It was me and two other new girls. The moment I got on the bus she greeted me with an over the top "HELLOOO! I AM MEGAN, WHAT'S YOUR NAME?", I responded (in the appropriate 5:30am response) I am Catie. She then asked me if I had a nick name, I then told me her my last name. Within seconds she was coming with every nick name possible: C-Dubs, Dub Step, Baby Dub, Wallie.... the list goes on and on. What struck me at this moment in time was how welcoming she was to me. I was new to the Crew team and was just going to try one practice. Her enthusiasm, was one of the reasons I joined the Crew team.
Every time I see her on campus, she yells "C-DUBS, DUB STEP, BABY DUB" or she will sneak up behind me and slap my butt in public (OUCH). She was one of the first people at MHC I met, who helped me learn to be my crazy self! I admire her ability to be crazy one moment and serious and concentrated on rowing her hardest the next. I am so grateful to have met her, and happy I will get to start having weekly lunch dates with her!
Megan, and her craziness! Had to FB stalk this photo:)
